A few weeks ago, the Saab community from Taiwan was again in the spotlight of the world public, when one of the automotive magazines mentioned a story about Taiwanese Saab showrooms (under the title “SAAB Dealer In Taiwan Refuses To Abandon Customers Over A Decade After The Brand Died”) – which we published exactly one year ago in the text “New Saab Cars Sales and Service Center in Taiwan“. After that, this “news” was reported by numerous world automotive websites and blogs, which contributed to the increase in the number of posts with Saab cars as the main topic.
Certainly, thanks to the local company Scandinavia Asia Corporation (“SAC”), many owners of Saab cars can enjoy driving Swedish cars thanks to a wide active network of service centers. In one of these Saab service centers, a 2011 Saab 9-5ng was completely restored at the owner’s request. This Saab story, like the previous ones from Taiwan, was brought to us by Mr. Salo Yang, so we are passing it on to you here.
Dr. Chen is the first owner of this 2011 Saab 9-5ng Vector, which was a gift from her parents. Because of all this, this car has a special meaning for her, and it holds many wonderful memories with her parents.
She used to drive more than 600 km every weekend to visit her parent and drives it as a commuter car. So, the milage has reached 404.516 km. Unfortunately, the car had a front and rear-end collision last month.
Still, She decides to not just restore it but repaint the whole car. The decision to preserve this car was logical because this car is one of the most important things that binds her to her parent. She said that she did too, and her father really misses keeping this car in good condition, as well as the daily driving that he still remembers.
As you can see in the photos and video, experts from the SAC company have completely restored the old glory of this exceptional Swedish car of the last generation.
No mention of how much all that work cost just curious
More than two months ago, my OG 95 was sorted and sprayed at the dealer in Taiwan, and the cost was converted into US$5150.
Swiss car ????
You mean Swedish…..
Hey there. 26, January 2023

Keep me in the loop of things please alright, Thank you, Cam
I’m sure some people underrated the last 9-5 series I believe it was based on the GM Insignia platform but got to say these car’s still catch my eye when I see one. 🙂👍
Who would have ever thought the Chinese would rescue SAAB.
To Glenn Koniszewski >
chinese?
To Andreas Johansson >
Yup, the Chinese. Ever asked yourself, “Whom bought up all the designs to the bodies, engines, electrical systems?” Those SAAB designs were sold by GM to a Chinese conglomerate.
This 9-5 model still looks
current at 13 years old.
Hell, it looks better then
say 90% of current
automakers offerings.
Timeless design.
Way to go Saab!
