Tom Lease, who is 57, is a speechwriter for California Secretary of State, presented his experience with SAB cars for SFGate.

In brief, he Says:

I drive a 2001 Saab Aero SportWagon. I chose this car for a number of reasons. First of all, it’s a Saab, and I like them because I am not a fan of common and sensible cars like Hondas or Toyotas. My car is handsome, fun to drive (it’s a five-speed turbo) and gets 31 mpg at 75 mph with the air conditioning on. It’s safe, understated, the leather smells great, and it has heated seats front and rear.

Oh, did I mention the Harman Kardon sound system? It’s great, too. I also feel safe in this car.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
