This is some Saab cruising on A7 autobahn, filmed from a SAAB 9-3 SS Aero, 2,8l V6 Turbo with 280hp and 350Nm of torque.

Duelling the stronger BMW 335i coupe with a inline 6 3.0l twin turbo with 306hp and 400Nm of torque.

Even though the BMW is much stronger, the SAAB has no problem keeping up with the more expensive BMW:

The BMW is newer, better built and faster, the Saab is ok but there isnt much of a comparison with a 335i, a 330i is more comparable performance wise.

People don’t expect the Saab to be fast, so it surprises some much more expensive stuff but it isnt better than the BMW.

Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.

  • don’t be silly… the saab is keeping M5 all the time, and even through it still can keep up with that 335i. I don’t think a post 08 aero should have a top 5-speed transmission.
