Saab Owners Convention 2015

The 2015 Saab Owners Convention will be held in Lexington, Kentucky on August 13-16.

The Saab Site/Saab Parts North America will once again be the Title Sponsor for this year’s convention, which will be held at the appropriately named – Griffin Gate Resort and Spa.

The resort is located at the crossroads of I-64 and I-75, which is only a day’s drive for two-thirds of all residents in the lower 48 states. The perfect location to attract the largest crowd of Saab owners!

The schedule of events for this year’s gathering is full of activities for any and all attendees. Traditional favorites like the dyno pull, swap meet and vendor areas will be available all weekend.

Additionally the seminar schedule is sure to be filled with inspiring stories, inside information and new learnings. Let’s not forget just hanging out and sharing your favorite Saab Stories with other enthusiasts.

The hi-light of course will be all the fabulous Saabs from all over the country gathered and on display. Saab owners will be participating in not only one Concours event but two; Concours de Saab and People’s Choice. It’s always stiff competition to see who takes home the top prizes.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
