Here’s an interesting video, How the Saab were manufactured at Uusikaupunki Valmet Automotive plant in Finland 1993. As you can see, even then, the whole production line was computerized and robotized, and on the production line is Saab 900 Convertible.

Saab-Valmet was established in 1968 as a joint venture of Finnish Valmet and Swedish Saab-Scania. The automotive plant was placed in Uusikaupunki, Finland. In 1992, Valmet became the sole owner, and the company was renamed Valmet Automotive in 1995. Video presenting the Uusikaupunki plant body shop from 1993. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
