Saab Driver Escapes by Reversing His Car Off the Back of a Tow Truck

A cheeky driver makes a hasty getaway after truck attempts tow away his Saab 9-3. What is unusual about this video though, is that not only is the driver still in the Saab at the time, but there appears to have been no intention of going along quitely!

Contractors were about to take the vehicle to a pound when the incident happened. The plan seems to have consisted of “drive the car off the truck and hope for the best.”

The footage shows the Saab being slammed into reverse and shooting off the back of the lorry – a drop of about 3ft. Driver clipping the underside of the Saab 9-3 on the truck before driving off.

The Saab driver doesn’t hang around to check for any damage to his vehicle, choosing to make a rather hasty get away, leaving the foiled tow truck driver in his wake. The damage done to the Saab is great, but certainly greater than the punishment for illegal parking:
