When we first saw this concept, we assumed it was a potential SAAB concept car, but it seems to be an Alcraft GT EV project car.
As you probably guess, The design of the Alcraft GT is almost completely copied Saab Aero-X concept. Form, silhouette, front-end, and lines are reminiscent of those Saabse, but this “shooting brake” GT concept is the project of a British start-up Alcraft Motor Company. Series production is on schedule for 2019, of course – if a project does reach its funding goal.
The Alcraft GT is a two-seater with a 500 liters of luggage space, and this space can be converted into an additional seats – though – only suitable for children, making it a 2 + 2 configuration.
Also, the following are foreseen – a 3-engine configuration with three-motor four-wheel drive means the 840 lb ft torque (1140 Nm) and 600 horsepower translate into a 0-62mph (0-100km/h) time of around 3.5 secs. And a weight of only 1700kg, around 75% of a Tesla Model S, combines with torque vectoring to help give outstanding handling.
Certainly, an interesting EV concept, and it remains to see whether it will ever enter the serial production.
