They’re very pleased to announce that Orio is our title sponsor for 2018, and they’re being joined by quite a few returning and several new sponsors. Thanks to the amazing generosity of their sponsors, organizers are able to hold prices on everything for 2018. To summarize the changes for this year:

  1. Saturday breakfast and Sunday brunch (they combined breakfast and lunch) are now FREE with your event badge, meaning that there are no charges for meals (not counting the grill-your-own dinners).
  2. Saturday will always be People’s Choice day, but they’re moving a few of the extraneous categories to Sunday.  Sunday’s Competition of Colors is being replaced by some new competitions which are not predetermined by paint. More details to follow, but let’s just say you better not wait to get your vanity plate application in to the DMV.  Online voting was a great success last year and will be back again.
  3. Saturday Dinner will no longer be a catered affair, and will instead become just like Friday — CPSC will provide you the grills, utensils, and condiments to grill-your-own.
  4. SAABs@Carlisle 2018 merchandise will be available by pre-order only.

The Link to take you to our preregistration site is awaiting your click.  Don’t delay – PREREGISTRATION CLOSES AT 11:59 EDT ON APRIL 12, 2018.

Goran Aničić
the authorGoran Aničić
For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.

  • I read of the upcoming Saab meet at Carlisle this May 2018 > Since Orio is one of the prime sponsors I would like to know if they will be selling parts at the show. Also I would like to know how one goes about purchasing a one day pass for the purpose of checking out the cars and looking for parts.
