Rare car is always problematic for maintenance; no parts, no diagnostics, no proper service, but… but there is the pleasure of driving and ownership of a unique car. Would you like a luxury mid-SUV that’s based on a Cadillac, but contains many unique and unobtainium parts? So many rare parts, in fact, that an owner might be scared to put it on the road? Well then, here’s a Saab for you — it’s a Saab 9-4X.
Thanks to the Saab Dr video channel of one of the owners of this unique automobile, we can now find out how it is to be the owner, what problems it encounters and how expensive it is. Joe Reichard, a great Saab connoisseur, presents his Saab 9-4X Aero and cites the problems he encounters during the 3 years of ownership of this rarity.
In the latest episode he talk about what it’s like to own a 9-4x Aero for 3 years, go over everything he has spent on it (which is way more than he thought before Ihesat down and edited it) and discuss the issues that it has currently:
Anyway, Super rare seeing an Aero! Gorgeous. as you can hear from the owner, the satisfaction of ownership is quite expensive, and besides everything requires a lot of independent DIY work. Joe also says he is still very happy with the Saab 9-4x, and also that if they had to choose which Saab would keep (since he owns several Saab cars) – it would be Saab 9-4 Aero.
Love my 9-4X. It’s not an Aero though.
