Brothers Jakob and Mattis who are behind the 3D printed Cup holder for the Saab 9-5 presented a new project. Thanks to good thinking, entrepreneurship, and knowledge of 3D design and printing, they made Saab cars even better by making special gadgets.
This time, with their new 3D printing, they upgraded the dashboard by fitting a USB fast charger into it simply and elegantly. The designers used the empty slots on the dashboard in Saab, which are otherwise intended for upgrades and options, and it was there that they made and 3D printed a new slot that integrates two USB fast chargers. Simply put, the new USB slot looks like it was integrated at the factory.
If you are interested in improving the capabilities of your Saab, you can order this small gadget directly from the designer. Send them a PM if you are interested at saab3dprint or e-mail us at saab3dprint@gmail.com
According to the creators, integration is not difficult at all. Easy to install, just plug in on power connectors for the car outlet. Makes no damage to the car and can easily be removed. They will put it up for sale in a couple of weeks. Follow their Facebook and Instagram for more updates. Meanwhile, one of the Saab enthusiasts integrated this gadget into his car and made a review, which you can see below.
As you can see in the video – it’s a dual-port, Fast Charging USB charger that can be fitted either down by the auxiliary power socket or the high-level button spaces by the steering wheel. The modules support the common Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0, 2.0, and 1.0 standards while maintaining the stock look of the car, and also the modules should also be compatible with the Saab 9-3 OG.
