Despite the two-year global pandemic, Saab enthusiast clubs around the world are striving to maintain the level of activity and to some extent maintain regular gatherings of club members. One of such clubs is the Romanian national club “SAAB Romania Club“, which has managed to maintain a constant level of activity since 2008.
It is already known to all members of the Romanian club, but also to Saab enthusiasts outside Romania, that every year the second weekend in February is reserved for a traditional meeting Club SAAB Romania in Brasov. Practically, from 2008 until the (COVID) crisis of 2020, the rally was held regularly without interruption, and from the starting 15 participants and 7 to 8 Saab cars present, the organizers managed to gather as many as 75 Saab enthusiasts from their 35 Saab cars in one place.
Those who participated may remember how they filled 2 wings of the restaurant in the evening, and in 2018 the 30 kg pot of goulash (soup or stew of meat and vegetables seasoned with paprika and other spices) was not enough for everyone! In 2021 it was right in the middle of the pandemic, so it has been proved impossible to organize and now, in 2022, they are in full wave 5 – Covid. Respecting the safety rules in force, for the health and safety of all, the first meeting of Saab Club Romania will be held in the spring – in a place that will be announced in advance, but only after the restrictions will stop!
Until then, we can enjoy with some of the most successful photos of 2018.
Well done Romanian Saabers!
Best Wishes from England.
