The history of this Saab 9-5 is completely known to the new owner

The new owner of the Saab Aero model did not want to reveal the price at which he bought this rare car, but he is certainly very satisfied. The exceptionally small mileage feels incredible, but Tervashonka knows it right. He knew the previous owner of the car, who had passed away a year ago. Buying this Saab for him was a 10-year project. He has been watching this car for 10 years and he has a desire to buy it.

The previous owner had two more cars. But with this Saab, the previous owner drove only the so-called “parade ride”, which is only about 200 miles a year. After his illness, the car was in the garage for several years. He bought this Saab from his estate last spring on Mother’s Day.

Great and long-term experience with Saab cars

Tervashonka already knew the history of his Saab because he cared for and repaired Saabs in Officila Saab Service Center in Järvenpää for 34 years until he retired 12 years ago. Saab’s previous owner was his customer. He worked for Mäkelä Auto, a local Saab ex-representative, first for 11 years and then as an independent Saab workshop entrepreneur for more than 20 years. According to his calculations, there have been more than a hundred Saabs in their family. He gave up the last Saab before the current one, at the same time as Saab’s production ended, just over 10 years ago, Tervashonka says.

Tervashonka has bought her Saab “out of love for the (Saab) sport”. He has a strong emotional connection to Saab, as do many other Finns: this Swedish brand was manufactured in Uusikaupunki from 1969 to 2003. In all, more than 700,000 Saab cars were manufactured in Finland in 34 years.
