New Dawn: Stenhaga Invest Assumes Full Control of the Iconic SAAB Factory in Trollhättan

Strategic Redevelopment of Saab’s Historic Grounds

Trollhättan city, in collaboration with Kraftstaden Fastigheter, embarks on an ambitious journey to transform Saab’s former test track and surrounding area into a modern industrial hub. Spanning over 50 hectares, this initiative aims to attract industrial enterprises, bolstering local economy and job market. The project is part of a larger plan involving 75 hectares of land, indicating a significant push towards making Trollhättan a prime location for new industrial ventures.

Zones of Industrial Potential

The redevelopment plan identifies three key areas for potential industrial activity. A 5-hectare site near the technical department is envisioned for a new production facility, thanks to an existing detailed plan. A 13-hectare expanse around Saab/Nevs sports complex offers potential for further development, with half of the adjacent land earmarked for a data center by German giant SAP. The largest parcel, Malöga 6:2, includes the historic test track and “delivery garden,” poised for transformation into a site for large-scale industrial operations.
