For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.

  • How did NEVS get the sale process to “ev electra” so wrong? company background checks on finances etc is basic stuff…
Hopefully the future reincarnation can eventuate.

  • One observation: I have noticed a significant change in the design language of new cars over the last two years, in particular those from China, in the sedan segment; away from kitsch and ornamentics, towards a sleak and streamlined, elegant shape. See Nio ET7, Avatr 12, Lynk & Co Z10, etc. The Emily GT design fits into this trend, making the car even more interesting for potential investors.

  • Who knows, maybe this publicity with EV Electra was “the kick” NEVS needed to sell Emily GT. Free publicity so to say 😁

    • It´s impossible to even try to make him understand I already tried this once. Anyone who knows anything about the history of Saab Automobile and NEVS and the people who work there today know that this is the very last of Saab Automobile. They still have a lot of the Saab heritage left and they really try to save as much as possible.

  • TO Marcelo Aguiar >
because it’s not a Saab, but a “NEV’S” plain and simple. Saab went bankrupt years ago.

  • To Michael Kristensen >
look, I love Saab and I’m also sad they went bankrupt. I know being owned by the Chinese does complicate things, but NEVS *is* Saab, effectively. Same people, same dna. Don’t you think?
    Is Volvo still Volvo?

  • To Marcelo Aguiar >
a volvo is not a volvo anymore its sold and they are using Volvos name to build shitty chinise cars

  • To Marcelo Aguiar >
then a Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini an so on is an Audi🤷‍♂️
    So no,sorry.
Saab is a chapter in history today.
That NEVS uses Saab’s name is a shame for Saab’s history and should be banned, if NEVS had been called Saab, it would also have been a shame because they are not true to the design that Saab stands for.🤷‍♂️

  • Don’t even bother… SAAB is dead and won’t be back, and it’s the same with the Emily concept..

  • To Patrick Hagström >
You are making hasty conclusions there are still 3-4 investors who are still interested in Emily GT but it is not because they have stopped all collaboration with EV Electra that I will not see The day wait for nevs to reach an agreement with one of the interested investors otherwise the project will continue independently

  • saab is voor goed verdwenen, saab komt nniet meer terug, saab fabriek sta nu leeg volvo heeft de saab fabriek overgenomen

  • With the cancellation of the deal with Ev Electra, how come the Ev Electra site is announcing ‘Our Emily became Gaza GT’ with pictures of Emily GT all over the place ?

  • After the failure to find a credible owner to the car project, the CEO should let more competent persons to find a suitable owner!

  • Saab didn’t go bankrupt..general motors was… so Saab was a victim…along with Holden. Strangely one of my Saab’s was built in Germany and the engine was built in Port Melbourne

  • Made by Saab people in the Saab offices hired by a company that was Saab after reconstruction, built on a platform developed from scratch by Saab. It even looks like a modern 9000.
So it’s a Saab in everything by name. More of a Saab than the 9-7X and other GM crap.

  • Va faaan Svante Andersson kan väll börja bygga bilar hur svårt ska de va💪🇸🇪🚗⚡️⚡️

  • How could these “optimists” at the helm be fooled by such a huge scam called EV Electra?

  • The concept gets older over time. If they don’t get a deal this year I guess it’s over. Also there is a huge overkill in production of EV’s so timing is another thing.

  • Design a hybrid combi and a cabrio. Take the good design of the 900….exterior and interior. Means that there is no gap between the bonnet and the front window, make it possible that the driver has a big panoramic view, no digital screens, good carpet and real leather, makes it feels driving like a kart. Not overdimensioning the new Saab. Keep it simple. Pure design…a pleasure for the eye and to drive with.

  • A great project but with the NEVS management failure to find a robust investor, little hope unfortunately…….
