Starting this Thursday, the Saab Car Museum is open in the evenings once a week! We are open as usual Tuesday–Sunday 11:00–16:00, but now extends the opening hours to 19:00 on Thursdays.

Attention all Saab enthusiasts! The Saab Car Museum in Trollhättan, Sweden, has some exciting news to share. Starting this Thursday, September 5th, the museum will be extending its opening hours, offering an additional opportunity for visitors to explore its rich collection of Saab cars and memorabilia during the evening.

While the museum’s regular hours remain Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, it will now stay open until 7:00 PM every Thursday. This extended schedule is perfect for families, car clubs, and anyone else looking to delve into Saab’s storied automotive history after work or school.

This change comes on the heels of another successful summer at the museum, which saw visitors from around the globe, with the highlight being the Saab Car Museum Festival in June. The new Thursday evening hours are part of the museum’s commitment to making Saab’s legacy accessible to even more people throughout the year.

In addition to the Saab Car Museum, visitors can also enjoy a visit to the Innovatum Science Center, located nearby, which will also be open until 7:00 PM on Thursdays. This makes Thursday evenings in Trollhättan a perfect time to explore a range of attractions with something interesting for everyone in the family.

For those planning future visits, take note that the airport near Trollhättan has been renamed “Gothenburg Stallbacka Airport.” While Gothenburg is often associated with another famous Swedish car brand, Saab enthusiasts need not worry. Stallbacka is historically linked to Saab, as it was the site of the old Saab factory.

His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
