“Stipt Polish Point” from the small Dutch town of Vught specializes in the cosmetic restoration and renovation of your car. Let’s be clear, this Dutch studio is not dealing with classic car detailing, but with the complete renovation of modern cars, ie their return to “factory condition”. After their detailed treatment, such cars are sold in the Stipt Polish Point shop.
And behind the whole project is a young enterprising man Rick van Stippent who offers customers completely renovated cars. He started as a child washing the cars of family members, but now Rick van Stippent receives 150 requests for renovating cars every day. In recent years he has expanded Stipt Polish Point in Vught into a particularly successful company. And in the meantime, he is also working on his own fame (via his Youtube channel).
He earned his own money early on cleaning the cars of relatives. In his own words, he had been working hard from the age of twelve, but at the age of sixteen he started professionally with “Rick’s Car Cleaning”. That became “Stipt Cleaning” again and in recent years he really made progress with “Stipt Polish Point”and he also has the “Stipt Polish Point Shop“, with about 35 points of sale in the Netherlands, where you can buy car cleaning products.

“Stipt Polish Point” has its own YouTube channel
Van Stippent now employs more than 12 people and the company does much more than just cleaning. He ensures that cars are ‘brand new’: a word invented by Van Stippent himself and, as far as he is concerned, a concept in the car world in the future. “Cars leave here the way they roll off the production line. We receive 150 requests for renovations every day,” he says.
You can literally see these activities. Stipt Polish Point has its own YouTube channel and the videos on it can also be seen on Facebook. From renovating a Mercedes SL450 or an Opel Kadett to giving away a factory-new Opel OPC and recreating Johnnie Flodder’s Chevrolet, and of course there are Saab cars. From Monday to Wednesday, a cameraman walks around the company to make films.
Car enthusiasts can enjoy the most beautiful and special cars through his channel and in the meantime receive all kinds of tips that they can use to their advantage. It also brings him fame.
Saab 9-3 Convertible Like New
Van Stippent is self-assured, knows and does what he wants, likes to show that he’s got it right and also wants to check everything he can control. Just watch this video where you can see one Saab 9-3 Convertible that has been completely renovated. The car looks just like it came off the production line yesterday and arrived at their showroom:
This idea and his work are perhaps the solution for all Saab car lovers whose production is no more, and they cannot be bought as a new car. Also, this is a solution for those who want to buy the “New Saab”, even though they are no longer in showrooms for over 10 years.
Transformation of Saab 9-5 Aero After Half a Million Kilometers!
In addition to those modern cars, Rick also deals with the restoration of those slightly older cars, which the Germans would classify as “youngtimers”. One such car recently in this Dutch studio was the Saab 9-5Aero, which clocked over 500,000 kilometers.
Just look at the comparison “before and after” the restoration and you will see how much work Rick’s studio has done:

This Saab 9000 was completely disassembled, cleaned, all worn parts were replaced, then it was protected and painted, and put up for sale as a “brand new” car. You would never be able to recognize that this car has already covered half a million kilometers.
And that’s Not The End of Car Restoration
Van Stippent still has big plans. Stipt Polish Point is going to move from Vught to Best this year. In Vught, the company has been closed for the past five years. It will move along the A2 into a building where the collection of Van Stippent cars will be on display and where you can also drive. “It’s like walking people into the world of brand new cars. A kind of Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, but for cars.”
