This 1982 Saab 99 Turbo (55,000€~$64,840) is described as an ex-Per Eklund works style Group A rally car, its German language ad seeming to suggest the car has been partially prepared with help from both the famed factory driver and his former mechanic Jonas Enoksson.
In Ad Said to be fully FIA legal under current regulations, Eklund recently drove it in the Koln-Ahrweiler rally to celebrate 50 years behind the wheel. These Rally 99 Turbo were really the end of the era of good Swedish rally heroes. Stig Blomqvist, Bjorn Waldegard (preferably in a Porsche 911), Ove Andersson in Alpine 1600, Anders Kullang in Opels, PI Walfridsson in less competitive Volvos and Dafs…
Eklund was a Saab factory driver from 1970 to 1979. In 1982, however, the year after Saab discontinued its official rallying involvement, he achieved the brand’s last top position in a World Championship event, finishing fourth in the Swedish Rally driving a privately entered, Clarion-sponsored Saab 99 Turbo. source: Bringatriler.com
