Fantastic Saab Sonett III Racer in Portugal

One beautiful Saab Sonett III is a participant in historic race in Portugal called “Relaxed Historic Racing“. This race event is organized by “Race Ready” club and leading Motorsport race promoter in Portugal.

A series of great Historic Racing in which all races are held somewhere in the Iberian Peninsula. Organized by Diogo Ferrao, Iberian Historic Endurance averages 37 teams each weekend and showcases tourism and GT cars, divided in three classes: pre-1965, 1965-1971, and 1972-1976.

Relaxed Historic Racing” is very intersting race event, and organizer provide a nice and relaxed weekend to drivers and attendants. This weekend at the famous Estoril race track participants did race “Estoril 250km“.

After returning to the track at the Portimão circuit, where he was highlighted by the results obtained, driver Paulo Sousa is back at the wheel of the Saab Sonett III, and he is confident of a good result after his Saab Sonett’s rebuilding. He said yesterday: “I will participate in another Mini Trophy race, where I hope to enjoy myself to the maximum, and achieve a good final position,”

Paulo Sousa, driver of Saab Sonett also added:“After the rebuilding of Sonett, I was surprised by the Benefits, so for this weekend at the racetrack of Estoril I want to fight to do better, hoping that everything runs for the best, and do not arise technical setbacks, and achieve a good final result. I would like to make a splash in the rain, but with this excellent list of subscribers, the task does not seem easy, but for me it turns out to be more of a challenge, and I hope to be able to respond,”.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
