Saab 9-3 Turbo X is a perfectly lovely machine. In stock form, its 2.8-liter, six-cylinder, turboed engine makes 280 bhp @ 5500 rpm and 295 lb-ft @ 2150 rpm.  Of course, very impressive performance,  but even such a performance does not satisfy  all lovers of speed. Some like it faster…

One of them is Alan Brown (@bigalbrown74), who has further strengthened his Saab 9-3 Turbo X equipped with all-wheel drive. He  confided tuning of his car to JZW. JZW started tuning Saabs back in 2006 and they have been happy to make many Saab cars much faster than stock. They end up driving like what they should have from the factory. Founder of JZW ended up tuning his own Saab with 2.3 engine to over 800bhp with the stock tuned ECU and he currently have the record for the fastest Saab in America, 10.61 at 139.54 mph.

Starting with a Saab 9-3 Turbo X fitted with a turbocharged, 280-horsepower 2.8-litre V6 engine and an six-speed transmission, the technicians at JZW treat the car to its Stage 5 performance upgrade, which recalibrates the engine control unit software and power band, Full Exhaust, 19T Turbo Upgrade, larger injectors – (this car) 430bhp and 532ft-lbs!

Now, this Turbo X is a beast, it’s incredibly fast, especially because it has a AWD. The owner of the car indicates that Tuned Turbo X accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just about 4 seconds! And to100mph (160 km/h) in 9 seconds! Part of the performance of this car can be seen in several videos that the owner hung up on Youtube.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
