First Pictures of New Navigation System in Saab 9-3 2014

One of the authors from site SaabsUnited drew attention to an interesting feature, if you read the news saabcars.com in Chinese, you can see photos of the interior of the new SAAB 9-3 with a navigation system.

While there is no official news, we can only assume that in such a vehicle will be in version EV. Compared with the conventional audio system, looks very good, but overall nothing new…

This is Saab IQon infotainment system; Android-based infotainment system with 8-inch display, navigation, hands-free phone, Bluetooth audio playback, WIFI, dual USB interface and voice control.

NEVS has worked with Swedspot to develop this head-unit. Swedspot is a spin-off of the former Saab Automobile, and most of the developers of the IQon system are now part of that company.

Acording to NEVS this IQon is not the same as in the Demo at Geneva 2011, but a new development, and their plan is to build all their future infotainment units based on this platform.

In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
