“This will be one of those long description adverts, so please read carefully. Bought the car back in January 2019. Car was producing white smoke on acceleration. I was a little reluctant when buying it, but I just fell in love and thought to myself I will do everything to get this car sorted the way I want it…

Went for a drive, absolutely loved it. Bought the car, drove back to South Wales. Drove it to work the following morning and noticed oil leak all over the road. Ever since then I took the car to the garage where head gasket failure has been suspected. Turbo was another factor that had to be checked. I then had two options.. Fix the head gasket (not knowing what the bottom end is like) or just buy a brand new engine and start fresh.

Once the engine has been fitted, it was been left to run for several hours making sure everything is fine. I got the car back, drove less than 1,000 miles and it started to smoke REALLY REALLY badly on a cold start-up.. It’s a mixture of white/blue smoke which gets better as the engine warms up. Car also hesitates now and then if you accelerate harder than usual. This is down to the coil pack (Cylinder 2), however all 4 are recommended to be replaced (£130 on eBay, genuine Mitsubishi). There is absolutely no oil leaks, engine is brand spanking new.

I gave up on this car, garage suspects either the turbo, or the engine itself. I am not spending another penny on it as I’m picking a new car next month, this needs to go ASAP. Car owes me well over £6k and I will never get this money back, however if you are willing to fix it yourself, you will have a car that will serve you a good few years… I haven’t noticed any oil going down, or the coolant.

I want to be as honest as possible, this is not a fully working car, it needs specialist to work on it and I just can’t afford to keep spending money on it, as I said above. I’ve got all the receipts for the work carried out, engine, turbo etc, etc.. Car is on 86K miles, Engine on less than a thousand..

The Following will be given with the car:
– X2 5L DX2 5W-30 Engine oil

– X2 Key Fobs
– All Documentation and FSH

I am absolutely gutted about this car, but I need it gone and therefore, I am asking £3,000 ONO for it (NOW, Price reduced to £2,500!!!). If you have any further questions, please PM me, I’ll do my best to answer it. Car located in Newport, South Wales. Car starts & drives so can be driven away. Thanks..”

If you can solve the problem with this car, you will get a great machine very favorably.

His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
