As was customary in previous years, this year’s gathering of European Saab enthusiasts called “Intsaab Meeting 2022” was held last weekend in Ettelbruck, Luxembourg. In addition to the largest June gathering of European lovers of our favorite Swedish car brand in Trollhattan (Saab Festival), the “Intsaab meeting” is one of the largest European gatherings of owners and fans of Saab cars.

For three days, the small town in the north of Luxembourg was the Mecca of the iconic Swedish brand. About 300 Saab enthusiasts from more than 10 European countries took part in the Intsaab Meeting 2022 last weekend with their Saab Classic in Ettelbruck.

At the meeting, everyone present could enjoy very rare models such as the Saab Sonett Coupe from 1967, then the Saab 92, the extremely rare Saab 900 CD from 1984, and numerous rally and racing versions of the Saab 93B. In addition to the ones listed, Saab’s cult models such as the 99 Turbo, 90, and up to the Saab 95 series 2v (version produced in only 11,230 units).

All those present gave special thanks to the organizer for such a magnificent event, which was the “Saab Club Luxembourg”, and the event was held on their initiative. The club team gathered around the president Roby Fourage had a great program prepared for all the participants of the meeting in Lukemburg for each day.

During the main day of this multi-day gathering, on Saturday, the organizers designed a program with three trips of different sizes through “Ländle” and the selection of the most beautiful Saab car in the afternoon. In addition, everyone was interested in the market of spare parts for Saab cars, which was successfully held on Sunday from 10 am. In addition to paying registration fees for this event, the Visit to the event at Rue de Deich 3 in Ettelbruck was free for all those interested.

Apparently, there is a lack of such events and there will certainly be more in the future. And everyone hopes that such meetings will be even more numerous to the satisfaction of all true fans of the Saab brand throughout Europe.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
