Manchester Marathon runner finally finds lost Saab 9-3 nine days after forgetting where he parked it :)

Very interesting Saab story comes to us from the UK. Wolverhampton man Jason Matthews cannot remember exactly where he left his Saab 9-3 Sport Sedan before running 26-mile race on Sunday, April 19.

Jason Matthews, 40, said: “I’m so glad I don’t have to go out looking for it again or buy a new car. I am so grateful to this chap for finding it”

A marathon runner who parked his car to take part in the Manchester race has been unable to find it – nine days after the event.The 40-year-old spent hours searching for the vehicle after running the race on Sunday, April 19, in a time of five hours and 11 minutes.

He even ended up walking back around some of the 26-mile course, before driving around in a taxi for 40 minutes and then going to a police station, all to no avail.

But his car has now been found safe and sound by 32-year-old Adam Coppin, from Salford, Greater Manchester, who decided to use his day off to help after reading the story in the paper!

He spent this morning searching and found it safe and sound in an office car park in Salford Quays.

Adam, who works as a technical advisor at MediaCityUK, told the MEN: “I’ve been in similar situations parking at work, then forgetting what floor of the multi-storey I’ve parked on and walking around for ages.

Grateful Jason says he is “so relieved’ and wants to make a donation to a charity of Adam’s choice to say thank you.

He plans to travel to Manchester tomorrow to retrieve his Saab.
