Net sales for the third quarter 2014 amounted to 252 MSEK (271), a decrease by 7 percent compared with the corresponding quarter previous year.

Sales in America increased, which did not fully compensate for the decrease in other markets. Orio continues to increase its market share with Saab Original parts for Saab cars, which is the foundation for implementing Orio‘s strategy.

Operating profit for the quarter amounted to 48 MSEK (83). Adjusted for the positive one-off effect of 43 MSEK in the corresponding quarter, operating profit for the quarter increased by 8 MSEK.

“We have had good sales growth in market segment America and during the third quarter, net sales there increased by a total of 5 percent compared with the same period last year. In the Nordic market, where we have seen increased competition, net sales have decreased at the same time as we have strengthened the gross margin,” says Jonas Tegström, CEO of Orio AB.

The interest to join the Orio global network is continued large and a number of new workshops have joined during the third quarter. To create good trading conditions and a broad sales network prior to the upcoming launch of a broader product range of spare parts for car makes other than Saab, the enrolment of workshops and other sales channels continues.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
