At Automechanika in Frankfurt starting September 13th, Orio will launch an innovation forum; “Orio FutureLAB” to help workshops evolve in a technologically new era with Internet of Things. New and old customers are invited to attend.
Orio FutureLAB is a unique opportunity for workshops to learn how technology in the aftermarket is developing and how it can make a difference to their business. With the industry increasingly launching smarter vehicles, developing new skills within the workshop will be key to optimizing commercial opportunities going forwards.
“As an innovative supplier of spare parts, and in line with our strategy, we offer an unique opportunity to participate in the development of the future independent workshop, and we want to invite both new and existing customers, which is why we are featuring an insight into Orio’s FutureLAB at our Automechanika stand”, says Johan Formgren, Deputy CEO and Head of Marketing, IT and Engineering at Orio.
In the context of FutureLAB, new technologies and services that improve the workshop and give customers an easier, more trouble-free experience are explored. “Our first FutureLAB project is related to connected cars and gets underway in October. We will connect a number of cars in daily use to validate and refine our product and services for wider commercial launch in 2017, says Ola de Freitas, Project Manager Orio FutureLAB”
“The basis for this initiative is to create products and services that improve workshop efficiencies, business opportunities and success. At Orio we see new technologies facilitating a very exciting future. Orio FutureLAB will give workshops an opportunity to create new services adapted to their activities and everyday life,” says Johan Formgren.
