Rallying Support for Kirill: A Saab Owner’s Struggle Amidst Crisis

A Call to Help a Fellow Saab Enthusiast in Need

Kirill's Pristine Saab 9000: A Symbol of Passion and Pride Before the Challenges of War

We’ve always prided ourselves on being more than just car enthusiasts; we’re a family that supports each other in times of need. Today, we bring to you a heartfelt request from Kirill Nazipov, a fellow Saab fan facing extraordinary challenges due to the war in Ukraine.

Kirill’s Story

Kirill, a proud owner of a 1991 aab 9000, has been part of our community since 2017. His life in Kyiv, where he worked as a COO and moonlighted as a Saab mechanic, was turned upside down by the ongoing conflict. Seeking safety, Kirill and his wife made a perilous journey to Turkey, navigating minefields and traveling in a car limited to three gears.

Current Challenges

Settling in Turkey brought a new set of difficulties. Kirill entrusted his beloved Saab to a local mechanic for gearbox repairs, only to be met with dishonesty and subpar work. The car, crucial for his mobility and independence, now struggles to move forward when heated.

A Call for Assistance

Kirill’s immediate need is to find a reliable solution for his Saab’s gearbox issue. He’s not seeking financial assistance but rather expertise and resources within our community. Specifically, he needs:

  1. A Master Mechanic in Bulgaria: Someone skilled in repairing the Saab 4HP18 gearbox, preferably in cities near the Black Sea like Burgas or Varna.
  2. A Replacement Gearbox: A good condition 4HP18 gearbox located in Europe, ideally Bulgaria, or with the possibility of being delivered to Bulgaria or Romania.

Kirill’s story is a stark reminder of the broader impacts of war and displacement. It’s about a person struggling to hold onto a piece of his former life, his passion for Saabs, while navigating an uncertain future.
