Saab 900 Turbo Restoration

Maptun got a call from a customer who wanted to restore the engine of his 1989 Saab 900 Turbo. The employees at Maptun were happy to help and took the chance to capture some of the Restoration process in this video.

Owner of this bautiful Saab 900 Turbo has ambition of bringing the car back to it’s original condition and wanted Maptun to perform a restoration of the engine. Since the model is kind of a Saab classic they were very excited to help him out. Maptun have completely restored the engine on both, the in-side and outside with new fresh spare parts, and also painted and refined various  components.

Now, the engine looks, sounds and runs like new. Once the restoration of the engine was finished the customerpicked the car up, and can look forward to sunny summer cruises on fun twisty roads. You can only imagine his excitement and pleasure…

In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
