Saab 9-3 Convertible Re-imagined as Batmobile

Saab 9-3-as Batmobil

People just can’t get enough of the Caped Crusader’s pimped-out ride. But there has never been one quite like this for sale, for a number of reasons. We are talking about a street-legal Saab 9-3 Batmobile created by Stephen and friends.

He bought this black Saab just over a month ago to do a “Top Gear” type challenge which entailed doing a theme on the car. The car just lent itself to being the 1966 Batmobile so they dressed the car and theirselves and won the competition.

Seller drove the car to Whitby and back inc. round Robin Hoods Bay and it turned heads wherever they went with people looking and waving etc. Now, They decided to list it as the Batmobile for someone else to have fun like they have but all the add-ons can easily be removed.

As for the car it starts straight up and drives well, had tyres balanced and gave it a good clean and polish and apart from a few marks it looks well for its age, roof works electrically but needs rear flap lifting and lowering manually, not hard to do but needs second person.

Heater controls broken off but present and heater does work. Airbag light on. Driver seat recline wheel missing but it does work. Just about everything else on car works: – 6 disc cd changer, remote central locking and remote boot release though only one key and fob, electric windows and door mirrors , etc . Leather seats in good condition for age…

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
