Saab 9-4X joined the model Saab 9-5 Sedan in obtaining the highest grade of security Top Safety Pick 2011

New Saab 9-4X crossover has earned recognition ‘ Top Safety Pick ‘ , the highest level of recognition for the security granted by the Insurance ” Institute for Highway Safety” (IIHS ) in the USA . Only three weeks ago , the Saab 9-5 Sedan received the same accolade .

” Reach out in three weeks , two awards Top Safety Picks is a remarkable result,” says Per Lenhoff , Head of Safety vehicles in Saab Automobile . ” Our main objective has always been the actual safety of users of the vehicle and to the actual conditions of possible accidents, and the IIHS test a good indicator of our customers and for us it is very important this result . ”

IIHS is a research and communications organization established by insurance companies operating in the United States . Testing includes front and side impacts . You can test the seats and head restraints in the last flight of vehicles in order to reduce whiplash injuries to the head, also test the roof and protection during a rollover .

Results are graded as ‘ excellent’ , ‘ acceptable ‘ , ‘ borderline ‘ or ‘ bad’ during each test and to give recognition ‘ Top Safety Pick ‘ , a vehicle in all elements of the test must get the highest score for each individual trial .

Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
