Saab 900 Turbo by Chris Piascik

Chris Piascik is an illustrator and great artist. This artist is doing a series of classic cars that he likes, and He publishes daily drawings for over 10 years. Today it was the Saab 900 Turbo

Here’s what he says about this incredible classic car: “I’ve always liked the #Saab900, I think it’s because when I first saw one as a kid it didn’t look like any other car I had seen before. I liked it even more when I noticed the “turbo” badge on the back. I’m pretty sure that was the first time I saw a car branded with TURBO.

Here are a few more reactions from his followers on Instagram to his great illustration:

bonjournino: No TURBO but loved the 4-door one with a moonroof that my aunt brought back from Germany that got handed down to me!

heyoncley: Both my parents had one of these at the same time in the 90’s, a red one and a white one. My sister and I thought they were soooo ugly until we grew up. Now we’re sad that they aren’t in the family anymore.

johannarehnvall: Growing up in Sweden, the streets were filled with them – and Volvos. My mom had one of those until about 5 years ago. It was old… But that turbo…

lisacongdon: I had a Turbo Saab 93 in the early 2000s. Best car ever.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
