Imagine that Juan Manuel Fangio – the Argentine five-time Formula 1 world champion considered by many to be the greatest racing driver of all time – had a second career as a lone-wolf hitman, hell bent on assassinating genocidal 20th century Latin American dictators. And that El Maestro’s transport of choice for this occupation was Saab 900 Turbo SPG!

Well no need to imagine, little ones, for Peter HughesHis solo album, Fangio, spins a tale (an alternate reality, really) where Fangio becomes South America’s savior, “piloting a SAAB 900 Turbo SPG across the Andes mountains on a covert mission to assassinate Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet,” as Hughes told for Road&Truck magazine.

Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
