Saab Damaged beyond recognition - The aftermath of a horrific car accident on the highway

Saab, a Swedish car manufacturer, is known for its durable and safe cars. It is no surprise that a Saab car was able to save the lives of a mother and son involved in a horrific accident.

Damian Koman and his mother were driving on a highway near Berlin when Damian fell asleep at the wheel. The car, a Saab 9-3 2.0 Biopower, was travelling at a speed of 120 km/h and accelerated to 140 km/h before crashing and rolling over multiple times before coming to a stop about 100 meters away.

The accident could have been fatal, but Damian and his mother survived. However, they sustained multiple fractures and injuries that require significant medical attention and rehabilitation. Fortunately, Damian is already in Poland and is on the road to recovery.

After the accident, Dariusz Piszczałka, a friend of Damian and a member of the Polish Saab Club, put out a call for financial help to cover the significant medical expenses. The response from the Saab community was overwhelming, with donations pouring in from all over the world. A fundraising page was set up on the Polish humanitarian donation site Pomagam.pl to facilitate donations.

The fundraising page shows that 358 people have donated so far, which is a testament to the solidarity and generosity of the Saab community. However, there is still a long way to go in terms of covering the medical expenses. Therefore, all Saab enthusiasts worldwide are encouraged to donate whatever they can to support Damian’s recovery.

Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
