Fanstatic Saab 1 day event in UK, £6 per person entry. Open to all saab owners. Fantastic venue. Trade stalls. Demonstrations and more. Organisers have chosen pilgrim bandits as their charity of choice this year.
Saabs United GB second event after the amazing turnout last year, created for every Saab owner. The Saab community has just got closer together. Admins from a lot of the groups you are members of have got together to create the biggest possible 1 day event open to all Saab owners. Organizers have tried to create this as central in the UK as possible to allow for travel times. Saabs United GB team chosen venue for the first ever Saabs United is East Kirkby, Lincolnshire.
They have chosen Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre for their second year due to the superb facilities and scenery to create this amazing opportunity for everyone across the UK and beyond. Set in the heart of Lincolnshire, all present have got a venue as central as was possible. Saab Owners Cars will be parked by the wings of the famous Lancaster Bomber ‘Just Jane‘ and around the museum grounds, along with some trade stands from tuners, vinyl graphics, rallying, detailers and chosen charity for this year, Pilgrim Bandits.
Entry costs will be £6 per person with reduced cost for museum entry, concessions for disabled and carers should be sought on the day, which will allow yourselves and your car through the gates into the grounds for the meet. You may also wish to have a photo underneath the Lancaster, to be arranged on the day with Saabs United staff. With 2 toilet blocks, first aid, play area, cafe and various museum buildings. Complete with a gift shop, there is plenty to see and do along with some great cars and new people to meet.
Lincolnshire aviation heritage centre, offers a café that serves both hot and cold food, as well as this, the venue was primarily chosen because it offers so much for the family, The main hangar housing 3 aircraft and a huge array of artefacts from airfield life during world war II. Beyond the hangar there is many other buildings including the original control tower and a Memorial Chapel.
With so much to see and do at this unique venue, you will definitely be wanting to return to explore more. Our event is child and dog friendly, with great access for the less able, catering for all.
The venue itself is situated approximately 17 miles (25 minutes by car) from Skegness. It also offers Hideaway campsite next-door, which has a rally field for those clubs wanting to come as a group and grass only pitches, with or without electric. Also Jaspers B&B in the village of East Kirkby.
This event was designed to be a cheap and fun day out for all the family, if you stay in the campsite or B&B, it can quickly become a cheap weekend break, Skegness is just up the road with a fabulous beach and in June, the weather can match too!
