The Saab 900 Turbo Convertible arrived at the Dutch dealership “Bungener Trading“ last August and after a thorough inventory and checks, it has now been fully restored. A series of improvements, both cosmetic and internal, have transformed this classic car into a stunning piece of engineering that looks and performs like new.
Owned by a doctor and Saab enthusiast since 2009, this convertible has been meticulously maintained by a renowned Saab specialist. The comprehensive history of the car is available, including all maintenance records and a stack of paper documents. Due to limited use, the car is now being sold.
This particular convertible is a rare LPT version with a larger turbo installed by the specialist, resulting in an estimated power output of 175 horsepower. Although it is not officially classified as a Turbo S, it has the specifications of one and provides a fantastic driving experience, with a wonderful rumble from the exhaust. Technically, everything functions as it should and the car is in excellent condition.
The body of the car is in excellent condition, with a beautiful Aubergine metallic paint job that has been well-maintained. The Aero bumpers and panels, as well as the highly sought after 16” super Aero wheels, complete the sleek and stylish look of the car. The black convertible top is generally in good condition, with only a few small signs of wear that have been expertly repaired. The hydraulic convertible top functions perfectly and the tonneau cover set is included, stored in its original case (not for sale separately!).
This convertible has not been affected by the passage of time, as it has always been stored indoors when not in use and has experienced very little rain and no salt in its life. There is no rust on the known rust spots, and the undercarriage, including the wheel arches, is in excellent condition.
The original grey leather interior is in great condition, with a bit of patina but no tears or wear. It features a beautiful walnut wooden dashboard and a original Saab Momo steering wheel. The sought after additional three meters are located in the center console, and are original Saab, not VDO. A Blaupunkt radio-cassette player is installed but can be changed to suit your taste.
