The Saab Club of Canada is a community of passionate Saab enthusiasts who share a love for the unique Swedish automaker. The club regularly holds events and meetings for its members, both online and in person, where they can share stories, tips, and advice with like-minded individuals. If you are a Saab owner or simply a fan of the brand, here is some information on the Saab Club’s upcoming March 22 online meeting and other exciting events for 2023.

March 22 Online Meeting

The Saab Club’s March online meeting is just around the corner, and it promises to be a fascinating one. The theme of the meeting is “Moving On,” and it will feature stories from dedicated and loyal Saab owners who have had to move on to other makes. Whether it’s due to changing circumstances or the need for a newer daily driver, the experience of these Saab ex-owners will be of interest to all members of the club.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 22, at 7 PM Eastern Daylight Time. To join the meeting, simply click on the link https://meet.google.com/oaj-rivt-quw. This online meeting will be a great opportunity to connect with other Saab enthusiasts and learn from their experiences.

2023 Events

The Saab Club has also updated its events calendar for 2023, and there are plenty of exciting activities planned for the year ahead. While some of the events’ dates may change due to scheduling, the club plans to run the usual Winery Tour, Annual General Meeting (AGM), Fall Colours Tour, and other in-person events and online meetings.

The March and April events are already confirmed, so mark your calendars! The club is also open to suggestions from its members for events and event locations. For example, the Annual General Meeting will be held in a nice park, with shelters in case of rain, washrooms, and available parking for Saabs. This year, the meeting might take place somewhere to the north or northeast of Toronto, such as Sutton or Beaverton. If you have any suggestions or ideas for events, please send them to president@saabclub.ca.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
