VIDEO: Pursuit Saab driver leads police on wild chase in Lincoln

We’ve featured on this case – the case of irresponsible teenager who took his father’s Saab 9-3 Sportcombi and tried to outrun police at more than 110mph (180 km/h) in a pursuit through the streets of Bolton and Salford (UK).

Miles Horton, aged 18, was spared jail by Recorder Michelle Booth, who told him that he was ‘lucky’ to have been given 12 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, during a hearing at Manchester Crown Court.

Astonishing video taken by a police traffic officer’s dash cam shows Horton overtaking vehicles on the wrong side of the road and going through red lights as the pursuit continued:

Horton only stopped after his car collided with a pedestrian barrier, which damaged the vehicle’s tyres and suspension. The vehicle was written off as a result.

He was arrested and pleaded guilty to dangerous driving and aggravated vehicle taking at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court the following day.

Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
