Here’s a nice information for fans of Saab cars that live around New York City. The Vintage SAAB Club of North America will be hosting “The Great American Apple Pie Run” on October 8th, 2016.
The VSCNA exists to encourage the maintenance, restoration and preservation of vintage SAABs. This Vintage Club has been going strong for 32 years now.
“The Great American Apple Pie Run“
This is a social gathering of Saab aficionados and wannabe’s. No trophies will be given out, but plenty of tires will be kicked. Organisers encourage giving rides throughout the day on our beautiful back roads. At 2:00 pm they will make The Great American Apple Pie Run. This is a scenic 45 minute round trip to pick up home baked apple pies from Tantillo’s Farm Market near New Paltz, NY. Mrs. Tantillo bakes one heck of a pie! (Thanks to Rob Riccardelli for this Saab information )
Start Time: 10:00 am (earlier arrivals always welcome)
Place: The home of Bruce and Lori Turk, 333 St. Andrews Rd, Walden, New York 12586.
Who can attend? Anyone with a pulse. You do not have to be a VSCNA member, children are welcome.
What should we drive? They really don’t care. If you don’t own a Saab, wear a Saab T-shirt, no one will suspect you’re a poser.
Rain date? Unless the weather report is for a hurricane, this event is rain or shine. Their pole barn “museum” is big enough to keep a very large crowd dry and happy.
Please contact Bruce Turk to RSVP.
